Airtel Digital TV Complaints - Unsatisfactory Customer Service from Airtel

Below is my Airtel Story:

Day1- Called Airtel Customer Number for taking a new High Definition Digital TV connection.

Day2- Payment was made online and technicians promptly sent for installation.The installation was completed and we were told that Channels will start appearing after 15 min.

Day3- No channels appeared even after 24 hrs. Called Airtel Customer Service and provided , Customer ID , STB NO , CARD Number , Primary Contact No, Secondary Contact No , registered email address. Customer Service Representative committed to give a call back.

Day4- No call received from Customer Service. Called again and provided Customer ID , STB NO , CARD Number , Primary Contact No, Secondary Contact No , registered email address. Customer Service Executive escalated the issue to Senior technician. Senior technician inquired about STB NO , CARD Number and kept the call on hold for 1 hr with commitment that issue resolution will be done over the phone.Issue was not resolved and phone was hung up on us.

DAY5- No response from Airtel and still waiting for technican to arrive. Called Airtel Service Manager and manager promised to send technician next day before 11:00 A.M

DAY6- After waiting whole day called Airtel Service Manager and got a promise that a technican will be at home in next half-an-hour. After waiting half-an-hour and shouting at the technician for another 30 min, technician turns up at night 9:00 P.M

Note: Technician is polite and completes installation.

Still the software is getting downloaded as i am writing this compliant and there is no gurantee that i will get the service.

Unfortunate that this is the kind of service being provided to a customer who has done pre-payment for the service.
