i am a retired diesel fitter so i got a fair idea of diesel engines, i approached the service end of the above garage and was assured that the Toyota computer would able to pin point the exact problem i was having with my land cruiser. , as the vehicle is an automatic i arranged with transport to there depot,at a cost of over £70 pounds i was informed that it was fault code no. 49 which i cannot find on Toyota codes, they recommend that common rail injector pump and injectors be removed for testing . i then asked the service adviser why i had been told that the compute they had would pin point exactly what the problem was she then said they would have to strip parts of the engine to see the problem,Shelbourne motors charged me £ 76.63 for something any body with any sense would guess could be wrong . i then had to pay another £75 to get the jeep home.I had already informed them that i had changed all filters including the tank filter , cleaned the induction manifold along with the throttle control body etc so all was left was what they wanted to remove for testing.Why was i misled into thinking that they could pin point the exact problem
