I came to VLCC on June 2011 for slimming treatments and Ms. Chathurani gave me an introduction on your machines and slimming treatments. That time what she said was here you can reduce your unwanted fat without going to a gym while you are watching TV, but we have included a gym facility to this package, because exercise is good for health. I specifically asked Chathurani, if they could reduce the fat without gym workout, because I cannot do workouts here, since already my legs and arms are thin, if I use the treadmill my legs will get even more slimmer. But she again explained me showing all your machines and treatments that the gym is not a must. Also, she said we can join the '5kg program' which makes you loose 5kg within 3 months. And she said there is an going promotion these days that if you pay the full amount at once they will give us a beauty treatment worth Rs 5000. So I paid 41,000/- at once & she said I can select anything from the beauty side. Then I went to the beauty side and I requested for a facial. Then one girl from the beauty side(I guess her name is Shashika) said adviced me to go for a tan removal treatment. I also want to mention that she did a really good job. After two days of treatment I got pimples on my face. When I went and showed my face to the girl who did the treatment, she said the product used my have cuased an allergic reaction to my skin. This is the first gift I got from VLCC, still I’m suffering from pimples.
When I went for the slimming treatments initially I was asked to come twice a week. Except on my menses period I went for their treatments with a diet plan. My dietitian was Ms.Bawani, more than me she was worried about my weight , she was really strict and controled my diet in a very nice way. I always asked for ms. Nilu for body massages because for me she is the best therapist. Some times when she is busy or off I cancell my appointment since I don’t want to waste my time with anyone else. Like this I continued my treatments for 5 months but i didn't lose even 2 kg.
Though I am a very busy person, I use to go to VLCC daily, because I really wanted to reduce the weight with inch lost and I have paid nearly a half lakh to VLCC. After trying all your slimming treatments and failing to get any result I finally spoke to the Manager(Ms. Praneetha) and she transferred 50% from the total amount to the Beauty side.
Since I have very bad experience of VLCC face products, I agreed to go for hair treatments. Rajeev was doing my hair treatments all the time and he did a really good job. But most of the time when I call the reception, to get appointments they treated me in a very bad way, maybe I am not a new customer however I tolerated that also. Once I wanted to get an oil massage when Rajeev was on leave,(I have already fixed the appointment) what they said was no one is available. Again for an emergency I asked for an appointment for a head massage, they gave me a guy from slimming side(Pradeep) and Dilan was supposed to do the hair setting but being on the hair section Dilan said sorry mam I don’t know to blow dry.
And once I made an appointment a week before for a hair setting to attend for a wedding, my appointment was at 5.00pm, & at 4.00pm VLCC is calling and telling me sorry mam we are unable to do your hair setting today, Since Vandana luthra is coming to Sri Lanka today & Rajeev has to go to the Air port to carry his baggage’s. Is this the standard of VLCC customer service?
These are only a few bad experiences I've faced at VLCC, simmilarly, on Feb 22nd Ms. Nathasha called me and said, sorry we are unable to take your appointment today because Rajeev has left the company(I have already put the appointment one week back). Then I asked if there's anyone else to do the oil massage she said not today and she gave me another day. And when I called on that date Karen (head of beauty section) said sorry I have a rash in my hand can you please come on some other day? After I insisted she said ok Dilan will do your massage and Iroshini will do the hair setting.
My next appointment was on 8th of March since I have very bad experience with VLCC, though I have an appointment I still call and check so when I called on 8th Karen said no one is there to attend me, since Iroshini lives quite far they have to release her at 5.00pm. Then I said customer is not liable for your internal issues please sort it out from your end and give me a solution. Then she said ok I will take you, and I got delayed by just 15 minutes and Karen was very angry and she asked me if you come at this time, what time are we going home? I was late only 15 min. You should accumulate how many hours I have waited at VLCC till your staff gets free and how many days I have been sent back.
And she said I don’t think you have credit to do the oil massage. Then I told her that I have another 4300/- balance with you’ll. Then she took a A4 paper and showed me these are the appointments you have completed. Then I said after each and every treatment I have signed on your book. What is this paper? Then her answer was that the book has been misplaced. What she has was the earlier book. But all my appointments were in the previous book with my signatures. One month back also they took my signatures on a new book, saying they misplaced my old book. And she has written in the other book that I have taken an oil massage from Prdeep on 6th May whereas I didn’t go to VLCC on that day and I asked Pradep did you do an oil message to me on 6th and he said no.(I have already put a note in that book). And after that she said Chethika no one likes to take you. I said Ok if that's the issue I don’t want to beg you’ll, Please refund my balance. (This incident took place in front of the Manager Nathasha), then she said its not possible. After that Nathasha apologized on behalf of her staff and she said today, Pradeep will do your oil massage and Karen will do your hair setting. However while Pradeep was doing the head massage, Karen left. After the massage when washing my hair there was no conditioner to apply. And Pradeep said Im sorry I don’t know anything about the beauty side im from the slimming side, since everyone is off at beauty side I can’t find a conditioner to apply. But he searched everywhere he couldn’t find. Again Is that the way of VLCC customer service?
After that I had to go for a another saloon for hair setting, because I have a very fizzy hair and cannot manage without conditioner and blow dry.
After these incidents I don’t want to set my foot at VLCC, and will not recommend anyone to go there. After paying so much is this the service I get?
My request is kindly refund my money because I don’t want any treatments from VLCC in future. I have wasted my time with VLCC for the last 9 months and more than your staff not wanting to take me I don't want thier services.
Im sorry to write such a big complaint, but you haven't left me with a choice. I wanted to share my experience with you’ll and to make sure that this may not repeat in future with any other client.
Karen was very rude to me and I never except that kind of service from a worldwide reputed institute. And specially being at customer care you should treat the customer as a KING, you are getting a salary because of the customers. With this kind of experience will I ever recommend VLCC for a another client? That will be bad for your company reputation.
